I just recently started listening to Rogan's podcast - have only listened to a few episodes thus far - and here are a few things about it that I find astonishing:
1. He allows his guests to talk for long periods without interrupting.
2. He says things like, "I don't know." "I didn't know that," "Are you sure?," etc.
3. He fact-checks in real time.
4. He doesn't seem to have an agenda.
5. He seems truly curious and is willing to let the conversation go wherever it leads. (For example, his podcast with Jordan Peterson is about 4 hours long).
Truly frightening stuff. Should Spotify decide to drop Rogan, I will happily cancel my subscription.
Joe Rogan also makes corrections when he is wrong and is generous with apologies, extending to polite indulgence for folks who should have a steel toed work boot to address their ruffled sensibilities... truly frightening traits indeed.

It's encouraging that in an era of soundbites and twitter snark, that there are millions willing to invest the time for a complete and thorough discussion. Spent the afternoon cleaning house and listening to the Peterson interview, and it was very worthwhile and thought provoking, and made a mundane job less so.

Worse, the introduction of a systemic vulnerability ought to be considered treason should we need those troops. Leaders had to know the policy was unwise given the minimal risk to healthy troops.
