This was all a charade- it was specifically designed to make it look like an effort was being made while at the same time running out the clock on the statute of limitations. The same thing is happening with all the other charges as I write this.
Running an investigation (that cannot be discussed) and out the clock is the obvious Dem DOJ strategy for immunity and amnesty. Five years to investigate, so far, and no charges actually made. I guess we need to add, going to court with an embarrassing plea agreement that a federal judge cannot sanction, as another delaying tactic.
I once had a dispute with the IRS regarding taxes I had paid but had reported incorrectly. The IRS eventually agreed that I had paid the tax, but because of the error (I used the wrong form for estimated self employment tax) it appeared I had not. The bottom line was, a couple of years after the tax year in question, plus about 18 months of back and forth, I was assessed $8,500 in interest and penalties for taxes that I had paid on time in good faith. Compare and contrast.
The only rational result of this ridiculous "investigation" is that ANYONE in the future that is investigated by the Idiot Referral Service (IRS) should be entitled to the Hunter Biden defense: I committed tax crimes, but I am exempt from prosecution because I have not paid my taxes nor filed a tax return for the relevant period.
Proof we are living in a banana republic with two sets of standards when applying the law. I despise the concept of lawfare where the law is ruthlessly applied to enemies like trump and the Jan 6 defendants but not applied at all to regime members. Letting the statute of limitations run out is nonsense. Weiss himself should be investigated for that.
It’s interesting to hear that Weiss was actually investigating Biden for 5 years prior to becoming special counsel, as one assumes that this investigation was legitimate. But I’ve never been under the assumption that the purpose of the special counsel was to block any further inquiry, ie, hiding behind the excuse of an ‘ongoing investigation’ when others attempt to get facts disclosed. In reading the above, it almost appears as though there was a ‘crossroads’ for Weiss at some point….some point where he had to choose whether to continue with a legitimate investigation, or be part of the political protection of Biden. And it appears he chose the latter.
Why is Hunter not paying these 2014-2015 taxes on his Burisma income (and sex club membership unallowable deductions) voluntarily at this point? After all, he is the son of the President. If he is indeed a recovered crack addict from when this occurred, our Treasury should recover its loss as well. There is nothing to prevent that and all tax-paying citizens need to clamor for that action. Who will lead that effort since the DEMedia will not?
If justice is applied equally and fairly this guy Hunter Biden would be in prison for decades! Just think about the hell they put Manafort through for his “FARA violations” alone!
What’s a “statute of limitations”? -we know this doesn’t mean anything if you’re someone named Trump - just ask the big Low IQ Orangutan Latisha James and the Pedo looking Judge attempting to pull a legal gymnastics on anything Trump-because he’s a “male and too pale”-her words, while having a pale male preside over the case! Weiss is always referred to as a “Trump Appointee.” Only in a highly technical sense. Weiss was the acting USA for Delaware, and was originally brought into the USA’s office under Obama. Trump was advised that allowing him to continue was the correct procedure under Senate traditions.
The longer this goes, the more it seems like another way to ensure POTUS colors inside the lines and does what he’s told…it’s as if there’s a red placard hanging over this investigation that says “Prosecute in Case of Emergency”.
