The question I’ve long asked myself is under what circumstances I’ll risk anonymity - the freedom of thought and expression associated with being officially “unknown”. That time, which is ultimately dictated by the right circumstances, might be here.
Here’s why.
In February 2021, as we previously reported, the Biden Department of Justice dropped a race discrimination lawsuit. This lawsuit originated under the Trump Administration, which had found that Yale discriminated by “race for at least 50 years,” penalizing white and Asian students for nothing more than the color of their skin in violation of US law.
Remarkably, the Biden Department of Justice dismissed this lawsuit as one of its first orders of business - approximately two weeks after inauguration.
So I filed a FOIA request, demanding the DOJ Civil Division produce the records from its investigation of Yale’s practice to discriminate on the basis of race and national origin.
