There must be something they're doing to these guys to ring almost all the humanity out of them in training. Otherwise, where are the whistleblowers?!?

The 29 FBI agents that took part in the amphibious assault on Roger Stone’s house ... if I was in full SWAT gear pointing a semiautomatic rifle into the face of an elderly deaf woman cowering in fear in her nightgown ... gotta believe I’d ask myself, “Why the hell am I being ordered to do this?”

I had imagined the FBI had some honorable agents who revered law, clearly I am in error. The Stone incident had to be traumatic and was done clearly for show to intimidate the public, as with the Jan 6 trespassers. Yet we hear that FBI agents wanted to give Congress the low-down on Hillary's emails but the leaks never happened. She goes scott free after violating all sorts of laws. I can hope they do investigate crimes fairly but am appalled that they create crimes.

But I think it's easy. Any agent that would ask, "Why the hell am I being ordered to do this?" wouldn't even be asked in the first place. To get these assignments you'd be have be proven to be down with what's going on. And if you make your way on the team and you ask yourself that, you're quickly removed. I think the FBI and our other agencies have more cowards than evil people. Most people won't speak up

You would ask yourself that if you were not a corrupt, piece of human garbage.

Careers. The easiest way to advance is to solve a Big Caper. And the easiest way to solve a Big Caper is to invent it yourself. So, they tick all the right boxes: white supremacists target a female political leader etc etc... oh, the fact that the entire plot was built from the ground up by the very people who stood to benefit from discovering and thwarting the plot... well, that's just what proactive law enforcement means. Oddly, it doesn't seem like the FBI has solved any crimes other than one's that would be extremely relevant to the MSNBC audience in quite a while.

If you are invested into a job like that you're going to pretty much be mentally invested into every mission.

People wonder what it would take for LEO to seize guns, discard the constitution, follow illegal orders... The answer is "overtime". We know that because it's already happened a 1000+ times in our country's history.

We tend to live in denial... it's mentally more comfortable.

Sorry I got distracted by "grabbed onto Trask's testicles" and lost the thread. Re-reading now.

The FBI, as corrupt now as when the cross-dressing blackmailer Hoover ran the show. The FBI, all hat, no cattle, unless that is, if you need a garage door opening rope, that is in a loop, investigated.

This is so disgusting. It’s going to take all of us to fight this.

Too many are still attacking others for not masking. How can they recognize anything more?

Thanks for your hard work, Techno. Always praying for you! ❤️🙏🇺🇸

Well, if I was a defense lawyer for the so-called conspirators, I would be salivating at the notion of cross-examining Special Agent Trask. "Mr. Trask, did you send that text to my client before or after trying to strangle your wife and bash her head in?"

The federal government and most of its employees (the permanent government) are all unionized and pro-Democrat. They all favor expansive government power and favor directing it pro-Dem and anti-GOP. It is job security. This has long been the case. But the recent polarization and radicalization of our politics on both sides has rendered them extremists just as the right has extremists also. But the right is not and never will be in control of the permanent government. Rightwing extremists remain fringe characters while leftwing extremists have a GS designation. It's that simple.

Expand full comment

No, it's not that simple. I had a GS designation for 32 years. I was never in a union, nor was anyone I knew in a union. I also never supported a Democrat in any way shape or form, and I am most definitely not a "left wing extremist."

Did you feel like you were in the minority vs other federal employees?

Expand full comment

No, I didn't, but I got out in 2007, so things might have deteriorated to some extent since then. It's a good question, because I always felt that we were all on the same team and and that while politics was always in the background, we did our best to support the mission. But I have often thought since I got out, was I oblivious to what was going on, or has the environment changed that much. I think it is the latter.

Only when a Judge actually does the right thing and assigns a special prosecutor to investigate the FBI agents, will there be any faith in the judicial system. The FBI was corrupt in the 1980's with the mob and 40 years later, their image with the public hasn't changed.
