Donald’s Trump indictment was supposed to be imminent.
Back on March 9, 2023, the New York Times reported the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, “signaled to Donald J. Trump’s lawyers that he could face criminal charges for his role in the payment of hush money to a porn star.” Trump himself announced on March 18, 2023 that he would be arrested on Tuesday, March 21.
Barriers and heightened security were put in place in New York and Washington, D.C. The Secret Service was “coordinating security plans with the New York Police Department in the event that former President Donald Trump is indicted and arraigned in an open courtroom in Manhattan.” Logistics were arranged regarding Trump’s surrender, including security measures for booking and processing. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg told his staff he would “continue to apply the law evenly and fairly.”
Then all hell broke loose.
